They say that if you ask a girl what she wants to be when she grows up, whatever answer she gives at nine years of age gives a pretty good indication of the career she will pursue. I think I knew at four! One of my earliest memories is of sneaking into Mum's 'special red box' and drinking in the smells, textures and drama of the bright red lipsticks and peach gel glosses.
It was inevitable that I would follow the call of a hair and makeup artistry career.
After my training at Servilles, I plunged into years of amazing experiences - working in the stylist scene in Auckland at fashion shows and TV sets, before moving to Mount Maunganui and opening my own salon. Creating my own brands M Collections M Skin Mineral Makeup and 100% Natural Anti-Ageing Skincare, working closely with women in a teaching/mentoring role has been a natural evolution for me.
I really wanted to create a mineral makeup and natural skincare brand for New Zealand women, giving them the inner confidence to be beautiful and to let out their 'Inner Goddess'!
That is what inspires and motivates me in what I do.
I'm also happy to tell people that I developed the range especially with Bay of Plenty women in mind. In our sunny happy climate, we don't want our faces caked with layers of heavy makeup. My makeup lets the skin breathe and allows that beautifully radiant, healthy sunkissed glow to shine through!
The makeup party format comes out of my belief that every woman can learn how to apply beautiful makeup if they are in an environment that is relaxed and secure. I have made a conscious choice to take makeup and skincare out of that sterile environment, and bring it back where it belongs - into a room full of girlfriends who are connecting, learning and having fun!
When I am off-duty, you can usually find me soaking up the sun, walking up the mount, or having sushi dates with my daughter.

My wedding was at a location out of town so I wanted someone who could do both hair and makeup and was able to travel. Caroline was the total package as she did all three. A few weeks before the wedding I had a hair trial. I told her what I was after and she seemed to know exactly what to do. The way she styled my hair and make up was exactly what I wanted on the day. On the wedding day Caroline did a fantastic job of my hair and make up - i trusted her completely. She also did the hair of two of my bridesmaids, my sister and my mum. So she worked brilliantly and quickly to get everyone done and looking fabulous on time. I couldn't recommend her highly enough. Thanks again for all your hard work :)
